Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Putting Up collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We keep it short and plain because you should actually be able to read it.

1. Information we collect

• Account information — your email address and authentication details, so you can sign in and we can contact you about your account.
• Homestead content you create — pantry and freezer items, supplies, gardens, crops, harvest records, recipes, photos you upload, meal plans, goals, tasks and notes.
• Assistant conversations — the messages you send to Farm Brain and its responses, so your history is available to you and the assistant can use your own records as context.
• Subscription information — your plan, subscription status and billing period, plus identifiers supplied by our payment provider. We never receive or store your full card number.
• Technical information — basic log and error data such as IP address, browser type and timestamps, used to keep the Service secure and working.

2. How we use it

We use your information to provide and operate the Service, generate the plans, briefings, reminders and assistant responses you ask for, process subscriptions, provide customer support, keep the Service secure, and comply with our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your homestead content for advertising.

3. Service providers we share with

We share the minimum necessary information with providers who help us run the Service:

• Paddle — our Merchant of Record, which processes payments, invoicing and applicable tax.
• Our hosting and database provider — which stores your account and homestead records.
• AI model providers — when you use Farm Brain, the relevant parts of your request and records are sent to a model provider to generate a response. This content is not used to train third-party models.

We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and security of our users and the Service.

4. Retention

We keep your content for as long as your account exists, because your records are the point of the Service — a cancelled subscription does not delete your data. When you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data and content within 30 days, except where we must keep limited billing records to meet legal and tax obligations.

5. Security

Your data is transmitted over encrypted connections and stored with access controls that scope records to your own account. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify affected users of a breach as required by law.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. You can edit most of your data directly in the app. For anything else, email hello@puttinguphomestead.com and we will respond within 30 days.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local browser storage that are necessary to run the Service — chiefly to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Our payment provider may set cookies needed to complete checkout securely.

8. Children

Putting Up is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

If we make material changes to this policy we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect, and update the effective date above.
